Abus- EC550 ARES opening tool - The ultimate opening tool for dimple pin-tumbler locks Dimple cylinders are widely used and can be found in many residential doors. With the Multipick ARES Opening System, we have succeeded in creating a revolution in the field of tools for dimple pin-tumbler systems. A tool that offers countless possibilities to open almost any dimple cylinder reliably and quickly with a bit of practice.The included scale in the scope of delivery is designed for the Abus- EC550 cylinder. It serves as an aid for positioning the pick above a pin. Alternatively, you can palpate the pins freely and then position them with the pick.In addition to the Abus- EC550, the basic module offers you the possibility to expand your system modularly.We are working specifically on further profile types for dimple pin-tumbler locks, disc locks and further extensions, such as for opening safes. You can find all components and accessories here..Our ARES is made of high-quality aluminium with an anodised coating and a special steel alloy, which is used in all our products.In order to achieve smooth operation between the tensioning tool and the setting tool, a plain bearing designed specifically for this purpose has been integrated. Clear laser markings on the corresponding components ensure precise orientation during use. By individually attaching the included handle to the basic module, a stronger force can be applied during pretensioning (dimple locks) and, depending on the task, a better hold of the tool and better feel can be achieved when tensioning.Operating instructions and an overview in tabular form of our ARES sets and their corresponding profiles and scales can be found under this link. 

The different key profiles serve primarily to guide the pick, as well as to establish the pre-tension when setting the pins.  Another advantage of our profiles is that they can be removed from the lock after picking and a possible second closure can be bypassed, for example using the flip-it. Furthermore, the key profile can be used to check the function of the pins by inserting the profile on the corresponding side of the pins. Information on this can also be found in the explanatory video. We currently offer 8 different key profiles for the corresponding cylinders. Further types are being planned. This key profile is for BASI V55. 

The special ELITE Top of the Keyway (TOK) Prybar Wrench Set 2 from Multipick is a combination of flat tension bars and heavy bars.All seven tensioners are made of high-quality steel and provide very good feedback when picking, due to their flexibility and hardness. The different shapes and lengths offer a wide range of opening options.The first three tools in the set are flat tension bars (SP11 to SP13, see pictures) offer a type of control that is often required, depending on the shape and condition of the lock. Some of them have teeth that are designed to increase the grip on the lock core.The four heavy bars (SP14 to SP17, see pictures) are designed for perfect tension control of the lock core. As with all types of tensioners that might be used for a specific lock, the following rule still applies: the closer the fit, the more control you will have over the lock core.
