Every locksmith is familiar with the problem of a double rebated door that has fallen shut. These spiral openers made of high-quality spring steel can be used in many cases to open double rebate doors without causing damage. The usage is very simple: The tool is screwed in through the narrow gap between door and frame until it hits the latch. Then the lock latch is pushed back by turning it further. Apart from a punctured rubber seal, there is usually no damage to the door and frame.
